Project Summary
The Global Learning Academy of Helsinki (GLAH) is a pioneering international school campus designed to shape a new era of global education. With a mission to nurture empathetic, critical-thinking, and tech-savvy citizens of the world, GLAH provides an immersive K–12 educational experience for a diverse student body representing over 45 nationalities.
The design by Arvo & Koivisto Architects takes inspiration from Finnish pedagogy and environmental harmony, blending form, function, and flexibility. The result is a vibrant academic ecosystem that adapts to different learning modalities while fostering collaboration, play, and curiosity across all age groups.
Built on a reclaimed industrial waterfront, GLAH’s campus offers a safe, sustainable, and stimulating space where innovation meets well-being.
